Privacy Policy

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely as a hash). If you sign in with a third-party provider, we receive the email address and basic profile identifier provided by that provider.

Profile and personalisation data. To tailor your experience, we store information you provide, such as your preferred name, date of birth (used to calculate your zodiac sign), your primary manifestation focus, selected life areas, your current emotional state, and what brought you to the app.

User-created content. This includes journal entries, daily ritual responses, mood check-ins, gratitude notes, old and new story rewrites, nightly reflections, evidence of growth, vision board images, tarot reading records, lunar and cosmic reflections, monthly theme selections, Sunday Reset reflections, shadow work entries, future-self profiles, and healing journey notes — any content you choose to create or save within the app.

Photos. If you choose to add a photo to an evidence entry or vision board, the app requests access to your device camera or photo library. Photos are uploaded only when you submit them and are stored with your account.

Subscription and purchase information. When you make a purchase, we record transaction details such as the product, purchase date, and a transaction or session identifier. Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment providers and are never seen or stored by Rewritten.

Push notification information. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver the reminders you have turned on (such as daily ritual, evening reflection, Sunday Reset, and moon phase reminders). You can switch any notification off in Settings at any time.

Technical and diagnostic information. We may collect basic device and app diagnostic information (such as app version and crash-related logs) to keep the app running reliably and to troubleshoot issues.

We use the information we collect to:

• ✦create and manage your account and keep you signed in securely;
• ✦personalise your daily rituals, journal prompts, affirmations, and growth journey based on your profile and past entries;
• ✦generate AI-assisted reflections, tarot interpretations, lunar and cosmic insights, and other personalised content;
• ✦track your progress, streaks, and identity evolution within the app;
• ✦process purchases, manage your subscription entitlement, and restore prior purchases;
• ✦send the push notifications you have enabled;
• ✦provide support and respond to your requests; and
• ✦maintain, secure, and improve the app.

Rewritten uses AI language models to create personalised content — such as journal prompts, ritual micro-actions, affirmations, tarot interpretations, lunar readings, monthly reflections, and future-self conversations. These features use the profile information and journal content you provide to generate responses that feel relevant to you.

The AI features are designed to support reflection and personal growth. They do not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. You are always free to ignore or delete any AI-generated content, and you can stop using any feature at any time.

iOS (native app). Subscriptions and in-app purchases on iOS are processed by Apple using the App Store billing system and managed through RevenueCat, which we use to verify entitlements and restore purchases. Apple’s payment terms apply.

Web. One-time purchases and memberships made through the web app are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles the payment card transaction securely; Rewritten only receives confirmation of the payment and a transaction identifier. Card numbers are never stored on our servers.

You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through the store where it was purchased. Deleting your account (see Section 8) does not automatically cancel an active subscription — please cancel through Apple or your web account first.

To operate the app, we rely on the following categories of third-party services:

• ✦Backend and hosting — the app is built on the Base44 platform, which provides authentication, database storage, and app hosting.
• ✦Authentication providers — sign-in with Google and Sign in with Apple, where you choose to use them, are handled by those providers.
• ✦AI services — language models used to generate personalised reflections and content.
• ✦Payments — Apple’s App Store (via RevenueCat) on iOS and Stripe on the web.
• ✦Push notifications — a push delivery service used to send the notifications you have enabled.

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We only share the information necessary to deliver the relevant feature, and we do not sell your personal information.

With your permission, Rewritten can send push notifications to remind you about your daily ritual, evening reflection, Sunday Reset, moon phases, and other features you have turned on. You can grant or withdraw permission for notifications in your device settings, and you can switch individual reminder types on or off inside the app under Settings.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using industry-standard practices. Account passwords are stored as hashes, payment details are handled by certified providers, and access to your data is restricted to authorised systems. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep your account information and user-created content for as long as your account is active so you can continue your journey and revisit past entries. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, you can request this by contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, noting that some records may remain in backups for a limited period as part of normal system operations.

You have the following choices regarding your information:

• ✦access and review the profile information and content you have created within the app;
• ✦edit your profile or manifestation focus at any time;
• ✦delete individual journal entries, rituals, or other content you no longer want;
• ✦enable or disable push notifications and individual reminder types;
• ✦manage or cancel subscriptions through the store where they were purchased; and
• ✦request full deletion of your account and data by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under local privacy laws (such as the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data). We will respond to verifiable requests in line with those laws.

Rewritten is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Rewritten and its service providers may store and process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States and other regions where our hosting, AI, and payment providers operate. By using the app, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred and processed in these locations under the protections described in this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other means where appropriate.
